About Kimberly Gray, LCSW, MBA, MSS, MLSP

A career of helping…

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked in this field for 27 years and have loved every minute of it. Over the years, I have had the opportunity of touching many lives and helping people find their happy place.

I’ve worked with various populations and people from varied backgrounds. I “keep it real” in all areas of my life and don’t know how to function any other way.  I would rather hear the truth and deal with it than be happy living a lie.

But let’s face it; no one’s life is all roses. I have endured hardships, losing both parents and people that I love. My feelings have been hurt; I have experienced the loss of love, money, and time. I know what true grief looks and feels like. I know what it is to feel alone, vulnerable, and like you have nowhere to turn.

At the end of the day, yes, I am a therapist – and a human being.

Education and Life

I was born in Germantown and moved to the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia when I was seven. During the summer, we would go to Mobile, Alabama, to see my great-grandmother and spend time with cousins and family from all over the country.

After graduating from Abington Friends School, I moved to Atlanta to attend Spelman college and earned a B.A. in English and American History. After undergrad, I went to Wilfred Beauty Academy. Yes, I am licensed cosmetologist and do makeup and hair in my non-existent free time.

My first career was as a set artist in New York and California. I had the pleasure of working with many celebrities, in TV, print, and beauty work.

Eventually, I went back to school and got an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Eastern University, then a dual Master’s in Social Services and Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania and Delaware and have clients in both states.

I am fun loving person, an attentive friend who loves spending time with friends and family.  In all, it’s been a good life.

Take that next step.

Now that you have learned a little about me, I hope to hear from you. If you are ready to start therapy and make some real changes, give me a call at (267) 438-2500 to make an appointment.
